Passing the Keyes to the Kingdom

Serving Greater Northeast Florida

Education & Outreach

When Annie Lee Keyes started teaching at T. C. Miller Elementary, she never knew it would become a historic elementary school listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. The school served as one of several feeder schools to Dunbar High School established in 1942. We aspire to broaden the scope of community schools today.

Outdoor Experiences

We support youth development through sports and education by creating a wrap around of providers, professionals and community volunteers.

Mentoring

We provide a clear pathway to mentor youth and help guide seniors through living experiences designed to enhance overall wellness and upward mobility.

Career Inroads

At EALK we critically think about how to measure progress toward achieving equitable outcomes for the communities we serve. EALK’s programs are fit for the “hardest hit” communities who are challenged with resource capacity and bridging the tech gap.

Oral History - Storytelling

We’ve worked hard to create a highly unique experience with stimulating, engaging, and thought-provoking discussions among all age groups.

Collaboration

The purpose of this survey is to assess what our community already knows about healthy foods and how you are exercising healthier behavior to improve your overall higher “quality of life”. Take the Community Survey!

Dunbar High School, Since 1896-1968

The TC Miller Community Center & Recreation Park was built in 1938 and served the African-American Community in Orange Park as an elementary school. Theresa Miller was the school’s first teacher and administrator. Miller was born and raised in the Hibernia area, and gave 40 years to the field of education, mostly in Clay County. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. The original building still stands. During the days of segregation, Dunbar High was Clay County's only “Black” high school, and it was built upon land donated by the famous artist, Augusta Fells Savage.
